Format
Day 1. Onsight top rope routes x 2
Flash format - top rope routes x 1 or 2
Day 2. Boulder problems x 4
Lead route x 1- Women’s and men’s route
Start time is 9 AM for both days.
The purpose of the event is designed to evaluate and select athletes to compete for the World Cup, USA Team Ice Climbing team. However, this is an open event. Meaning that athletes who do not want to try out for the team can also participate. View this event as a gathering place for athletes to get to know each other, prepare for the season, review climbing techniques, resources, discuss International and World Cup logistics and past experiences. Athletes who will be competing in continental cups and are looking for a prep event, this is also for you.
Participants must have at least two years of lead, ice climbing/dry tooling experience.
COVID Protocol. All athletes will be required to provide negative COVID test results. Test results must be within 72 hours (prior to the event).
Athletes will be separated from spectators.
Mask will be required when athletes cannot socially distance themselves from others.
